Wyoming Governor To Sign Landmark Carbon Sequestration Legislation
CHEYENNE, Wyo.- Marking Wyoming’s groundbreaking effort as the first state to establish a regulatory framework for carbon capture and sequestration, Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal is expected to take action on House Bill 89 and 90 (HEA 18 and 25) in a formal signing at noon on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, in the Capitol Rotunda.

Wyoming Governor’s Comments On Property Tax Relief, GE Partnership And Other Legislation
CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Legislature needs to act to provide property tax relief to Wyoming seniors, Governor Dave Freudenthal said today in a news conference.
The program doesn’t necessarily have to be the one that Freudenthal proposed, but he said long-time Wyoming residents who want to live out their golden years in their homes need help.

Wyoming State Engineer Seeks Explanation Of Water Production
CHEYENNE, Wyo. - A permit to appropriate ground water in order to produce coal-bed methane gas carries with it an expectation that the production of gas will occur in a timely fashion.
This week, State Engineer Pat Tyrrell asked for an explanation of how natural gas operations are putting water to "beneficial use" when little to no gas is being collected from some of their wells. The wells of interest are at least five years old, and are located in the Clear Creek and Crazy Woman Creek drainages of the Powder River Basin. A total of 296 wells are involved. » read more »
