March 13, 2008 -- ESPN2 will combine with ABC to televise 22 regular-season WNBA games, starting with the defending champion, Phoenix Mercury and Diana Taurasi, when they host the Los Angeles Sparks and No. 1 Draft pick Candace Parker from NCAA champion Tennessee Saturday, May 17, at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. TBS, NBA Broaden Partnership with Digital Rights Agreement
January 17, 2008 -- Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced a ground-breaking expansion of the longest-running league/network programming partnership in professional sports, through which the companies will jointly manage a portfolio of the NBA's digital businesses that TBS, Inc. will operate out of its Atlanta production facility. 2007 WNBA Playoff Action Starts Thursday on ESPN2
August 21, 2007 -- ESPN2 and ABC will combine to televise up to six first round WNBA Playoff games starting Thursday, Aug. 23 when Anna DeForge and the Indiana Fever visit Katie Douglas and the Connecticut Sun at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. ABC’s coverage will begin Sunday, Aug. 26 when the defending champion Detroit Shock host the New York Liberty, who edged into the playoffs by winning their last three games, at 1 p.m. Later that evening Lauren Jackson and the Seattle Storm will face Western Conference rivals the Phoenix Mercury, led by Diana Taurasi in her first playoff appearance, at 7 p.m. » read more »
