Illinois AG Madigan Assigns Teams To Monitor Illinois Primary Election
February 4, 2008 -- Chicago – Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan today announced that 179 teams of assistant attorneys general and investigators will be working throughout the state tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5, to monitor the primary election in Illinois.
Madigan has assigned 135 teams to Chicago, Cook and the collar counties as well as other counties across northern Illinois and 44 teams to monitor downstate. Madigan said the teams will observe activity in and around polling places and investigate claims of voter fraud or voting irregularities. » read more »

New Jersey Statewide Voter Registration Numbers Increase for February 5 Presidential Primary Election
January 25, 2008 -- Trenton, NJ – New Jersey Voter registration figures have climbed by 48,000 people since the November 6 general election in advance of the February 5 presidential primary election, with a total of 4,844,213 residents eligible to cast ballots in the Republican and Democratic party contests.
However, compared to the last presidential primary election in June 2004, statewide voter registration is up more than 221,000.
The new statewide figures follow the close of registration on January 15 for the February 5 primary election. » read more »

New Hampshire Youth Turnout Rises Sharply
Washington, D.C. - 01/09/2008 - 43 percent of eligible New Hampshire citizens under the age of 30 participated in last night’s New Hampshire primary, according to preliminary analysis by CIRCLE (The Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning & Engagement). The youth turnout rate rose sharply to 43 percent in 2008 compared to 18 percent in 2004 and 28 percent in 2000. Young people increased their turnout more than the older age group. » read more »
