Dick Cheney and Lynne Cheney Release 2007 Income Tax Returns
April 11, 2008 -- Vice President and Mrs. Cheney filed their federal income tax return for 2007 today.
The income tax return shows that the Cheneys owe federal taxes for 2007 of $602,651 on taxable income of $2,528,068. During the course of 2007 the Cheneys paid $466,165 in taxes through withholding and estimated tax payments, and will pay the remaining $136,486 upon filing their tax return.

Stennis (CVN 74), underway in the Persian Gulf.

5/11/2007 -- USS JOHN C. STENNIS, At Sea (NNS) -- Vice President Dick Cheney visited the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) while underway in the Persian Gulf to meet with more than 5,000 Sailors and Marines on May 11.
Cheney's visit to Stennis came during his visit to the Middle east in which he met with leaders of several nations and with U.S. troops and their commanders in the Persian Gulf region. He came aboard Stennis to personally acknowledge contributions to ongoing operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and maritime security operations (MSO) in the region. » read more »
