Jodi Rell today directed the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) to conduct a national search for an executive director for the Office of Brownfield Remediation and Development (OBRD), the state’s lead office for brownfield redevelopment projects. Upstate New York Community Revitalization Projects To Receive $29 Million In Grants

Connecticut Governor Rell: $1.5 Million Available in Urban Youth Violence Prevention Grants
August 15, 2007 -- Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell today said that grants are now available for programs that seek to reduce urban youth violence in Connecticut. Grant applications are due September 12 and awards will be announced during the week of September 24.
“We expect that 15 to 30 projects will be funded in the range of $50,000 to $100,000 each,” Governor Rell said. “We want to get the word out to all of our cities and nonprofits that this is a great opportunity to gain extra funding for programs that reach out to young people between the ages of 12 and 18. » read more »

Jodi Rell announced today that the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is providing a $1,620,738 grant to Eastern Connecticut Housing Opportunities, Inc. for the rehabilitation and subsequent re-sale of ten residential properties in New London’s historic Hempstead Neighborhood.
