Oklahoma Governor Henry Requests Federal Disaster Declaration for Blaine, Caddo, Kingfisher Counties
August 22, 2007 -- Oklahoma City -- Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry today requested President Bush declare three Oklahoma counties as disaster areas in the wake of deadly flooding, tornadoes and other severe weather that occurred this past weekend as the result of Tropical Depression Erin. The Governor’s request for individual assistance covers the hardest-hit counties of Blaine, Caddo and Kingfisher, although more counties can be added as additional damage assessments are completed.

July 11, 2007 -- (Oklahoma City) In a letter to U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry has requested a Secretarial Disaster Designation for all of Oklahoma’s 77 counties for weather that has occurred since January 1. Arkansas Governor Beebe Declares Crawford County Disaster Area After Tornado, High Winds
Jun 27, 2007 -- LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe today declared Crawford County a state disaster area because of tornado- and high-wind damage caused by storms on June 20.
The proclamation, signed by the governor, releases $75,000 from the Governor’s Disaster Fund under the Individual Assistance Program. The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management will administer distribution of the funds.
Preliminary Damage Assessments are being conducted in Crawford County to determine the type and amount of damage.
