5/22/2008 -- TBS, television’s #1 comedy network, has partnered with Def Jam Recordings and Grammy-nominated singer Chrisette Michele for a promotional campaign designed to tout new episodes of the highly rated sitcom Tyler Perry’s HOUSE OF PAYNE.

As the centerpiece of the campaign, Michele has recorded a new, original song entitled “I Gotta Love Jones for HOUSE OF PAYNE,” which will be featured in on-air spots and other promotional elements. Four new episodes of Tyler Perry’s HOUSE OF PAYNE are slated to air back-to-back Wednesday, June 4, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).    » read more »

Turner, which for the first time staged its Upfront event during the same week as broadcasters, also revealed a new advertising innovation called TVinContext™. The system promises to boost the power of TV ads by pairing them with related program content.

The celebration will begin Monday, April 7, at 8 p.m. (ET), when TCM presents the original 1933 classic, which stars Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong and Bruce Cabot. Then on Friday, April 11, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), TNT and TBS will simulcast director Peter Jackson’s Oscar®-winning 2005 remake, starring Naomi Watts, Jack Black and Adrien Brody.    » read more »
