November 2, 2007 -- ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA—Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul continued his trend of straw poll victories in Springfield, Missouri on Thursday evening. The Texas congressman placed first in the Springfield Metropolitan Republican Club straw poll, in the conservative Ozarks region. He earned more than 77 percent of the vote, polling higher than all his opponents combined.

Ron Paul: Ron Paul Winner of Conservative Leadership Straw Poll

October 14, 2007 -- SPARKS, Nev. – Ron Paul won the GOP presidential straw poll conducted by organizers at the Conservative Leadership Conference held at the Nugget Casino this weekend “by a large margin,” according to an organizer.

Paul won with 32 percent, McCain came in second with 17 percent, Hunter was third with 15 percent, and "Romney was in the lower numbers because people came out for his event but they just didn't vote for him," according to organizer and McCain operative Paul Jackson.

Ron Paul: Illinois Straw Poll, Aug. 16

August 15, 2007 -- The Ron Paul campaign announced the Illinois Republican straw poll will be held on Thursday, August 16 at the Illinois State Fair from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. To vote, you must be an Illinois resident at least 18 years old. Voting is free of charge.
