Paramount Pictures Pacts with David Chase to Direct, Produce First Feature Film
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., May 8, 2008 -- David Chase, the seven time Emmy(R) award-winning creator of "The Sopranos," has signed a deal with Paramount Pictures to write, direct and produce his first feature film, an original drama.

Chase has a long-standing relationship with Paramount Studios chairman Brad Grey, his producing partner on "The Sopranos."

Coen Brothers Film 'No Country for Old Men' Wins Top Prize at Screen Actors Guild Awards
29 January 2008 -- The film No Country for Old Men won the top prize at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles Sunday, becoming the front-runner for the Oscars in February.
No Country, directed by Ethan and Joel Coen, took the award for best ensemble cast. The film also won the Directors Guild Award on Saturday and has eight Oscar nominations.
