09/05/2007 -- Chicago Fire Soccer announced today the My50 Chicago/WPWR-TV broadcast team that will call two Fire home games for the 2007 regular season. Local sports radio personality Fred Huebner will handle the play-by-play duties and long-time Fire broadcast sideline reporter Chris Doran will join him in the booth as color commentator, while local Fox affiliate reporter Sarah Kustok will make her Fire broadcast debut with the sideline call.    » read more »

09/04/2007, COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Crew and Colorado Rapids came into Sunday's match at Crew Stadium tied for eighth place overall in the MLS standings, and each looking to gain an advantage over the other heading into the final stretch of the season.

It looked as if Eddie Gaven's goal just before halftime would hold up to give the Crew the upper hand in the battle between the teams, but Conor Casey headed home five minutes before the final whistle and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.    » read more »

Kansas City Wizards Forwards Called to US National Soccer Team

September 4, 2007 -- Kansas City Wizards forwards Eddie Johnson and Davy Arnaud have been named to Bob Bradley's squad for an upcoming friendly against international power Brazil September 9 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Johnson has been a key figure in Bradley's team this season, appearing in 10 games and scoring two goals. 09/04/2007, Frisco, TX -- The FC Dallas Reserves and the D.C. United Reserves played to a scoreless draw on Sunday morning on the adidas Field at Pizza Hut Park. The goalkeepers from both teams came up big on both sides of the half, with each denying their opponent a handful of one-on-one scoring opportunities. FCD now stands at 2-4-3 (9 pts) while DC's Reserves move to 3-1-3 (12 pts). United created the better scoring opportunities throughout the first half, but FCD keeper Ray Burse came up with big saves and good positioning to keep the score even.    » read more »

New York Red Bulls Reserves Top Chicago Fire Reserves

09/02/2007, EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - Behind a Mike Magee first half goal, the New York Red Bulls reserves defeated the Chicago Fire reserves, 1-0, at Giants Stadium on Sunday morning. Goalkeeper Danny Cepero helped preserve the shutout, saving a second half stoppage time penalty kick. The Red Bulls reserves improved to 4-2-0 while Chicago is 0-5-2.

The New York Red Bulls had the first scoring chance of the match in the 8th minute when Sinisa Ubiparipovic took a cross field pass on the left wing and raced into the box before putting in a shot that was pushed out of play.    » read more »
