October 25, 2007 -- St. Anselm College's Institute of Politics released a new presidential primary preference poll today that puts supposed "long shot", Ron Paul in fourth place among the 2008 Republican candidates with 7.4 percent. The survey of likely New Hampshire primary voters, finalized by SRBI Research in New York City, ranks Congressman Paul fourth behind Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain, respectively, and also shows that 40 percent of self-identified independents who may vote Republican, and 19 percent who will, are still undecided.    » read more »

October 14, 2007 -- SPARKS, Nev. – Ron Paul won the GOP presidential straw poll conducted by organizers at the Conservative Leadership Conference held at the Nugget Casino this weekend “by a large margin,” according to an organizer.

Paul won with 32 percent, McCain came in second with 17 percent, Hunter was third with 15 percent, and "Romney was in the lower numbers because people came out for his event but they just didn't vote for him," according to organizer and McCain operative Paul Jackson.

September 07, 2007 -- Has this been a hectic and encouraging time! First we got almost 17% in the Texas straw poll, an event set-up to represent the establishment, with very restrictive voting rules. That 17% of the Republican hierarchy would support our views, after a full day of pro-war propaganda, is good news. Then we won the more open Maryland Republican straw poll with 28%. September 09, 2007 -- Congressman Ron Paul spoke at the memorial service for Aaron Russo Friday morning in West Hollywood, California.

Mr. Russo had a long and accomplished career in the entertainment industry and was a leading advocate in the freedom movement. He was one of the first public figures to endorse Dr. Ron Paul for president in January of this year.
