October 30, 2007 -- Chicago – As parents and children prepare for Halloween activities, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is warning consumers of dangerously high lead levels in some Halloween toys, making them hazardous to the health of those using the products, specifically a purple witch basket sold at Family Dollar Stores and plastic fake teeth, known as “Ugly Teeth” party favors, sold at Factory Card Outlet stores were discovered to contain unsafe amounts of lead paint. » read more »
Dick Durbin: Durbin Statement On Latest Recall Of Children's Products
October 29, 2007 -- WASHINGTON, D.C. – United States Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) issued the following statement today after a new round of product recalls were announced because of the presence of hazardous amounts of lead paint. The announcement included the second recall of Halloween pails in as many weeks.
