T.I. Arrested on Illegal Gun Possession Charge
16 October 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Grammy-winning rapper T.I. was arrested October 13 on a gun charge, just hours before he was to perform at the Black Entertainment Television Hip-Hop Awards.
The 27-year-old rapper - born Clifford Harris - is charged with possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon. » read more »

Kanye West's New Album 'Graduation' Continues to Outsell 50 Cent's 'Curtis'
19 September 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Kanye West's third album Graduation is well ahead of rival rapper 50 Cent's third disc Curtis in a highly-publicized sales battle.
According to September 18 data from tracking firm Neilsen SoundScan, Graduation sold 957,000 copies in the United States during the six days ending September 16. Curtis is trailing with 691,000 sales. Kanye West is also ahead of 50 Cent in the United Kingdom, where Graduation debuted atop the album chart. » read more »

23 August 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Foxy Brown has been jailed for violating terms of her probation.
The 27-year-old rapper was incarcerated on August 22, following an order from Judge Melissa C. Jackson. She will be confined until her next hearing on September 7.
Foxy Brown - real name Inga Marchand - was arrested earlier this month after reportedly hitting her neighbor with her cell phone. Authorities also said she skipped her court-ordered anger management classes and traveled out of the city without permission. » read more »
