The CBS Audience Network Goes "Hyperlocal" by Partnering with CBS Television, Radio and Affiliated Stations

New York — September 10, 2007 — CBS Interactive announced today that it is joining forces with CBS owned Television, CBS RADIO and CBS Affiliated stations to make the CBS Audience Network hyperlocal. With the addition of 29 owned television, 144 radio, and up to 183 affiliated station websites, the CBS Audience Network will expand exponentially in terms of the number of partners and online reach. Los Angeles Angels, KWKW ESPN Deportes Reach Spanish Radio Broadcast Agreement

08/21/2007, ANAHEIM, CA - The Los Angeles Angels Tuesday announced the club has reached an agreement with KWKW ESPN Deportes on a five-year contract to air Angels Baseball in Spanish during the 2008-2012 Major League Baseball seasons in an announcement made by club President Dennis Kuhl and KWKW President Jim Kalmenson.

KWKW ESPN Deportes (1330 AM) will broadcast all of the Angels' regular season games and any postseason contests. In case of programming conflicts, the games may be aired on KWKW's affiliate station, KWKU (1220 AM).    » read more »

Don Imus: Controversial US Radio Host Don Imus Back in The News

15 August 2007 -- It's been a turbulent week for Don Imus. While the controversial radio host reached an August 14 settlement with his former employer, CBS Radio, he also faces a lawsuit from a member of the Rutgers University women's basketball team.

The settlement allows the 67-year-old shock jock to return to broadcasting at a different station, four months after making a racist and sexist remark about the Rutgers team members. It also pre-empts Imus' threatened $120 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against CBS. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.    » read more »
