Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo Files Suit Against Oxycontin Manufacturer Purdue Pharma
October 05, 2007 -- Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo today announced the filing of a lawsuit against Purdue Pharma, the manufacturer of OxyContin, a highly abused narcotic.
The lawsuit alleges that Purdue Pharma misrepresented the risks of using OxyContin and seeks to recover damages suffered state and county governments related to widespread addiction caused by the drug.

September 21, 2007 -- TALLAHASSEE, FL – Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced that his Medicaid Fraud Control Unit has joined a national settlement with the Purdue Frederick Company, Inc., a New York corporation, and Purdue Pharma, L.P. a Delaware Limited Partnership. Idaho Recovers $652,000 in OxyContin Case
September 20, 2007 -- (Boise) - The State of Idaho has recovered $652,130 as a result of a civil settlement involving alleged misbranding of the prescription drug OxyContin, Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said today. Wasden said his office and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Medicaid Division joined in a multi-state settlement with two associated businesses engaged in the manufacture, marketing, and distribution of OxyContin, an extended-release form of Oxycodone. » read more »

PA AG Announces $5 Million Settlement With Oxycontin Maker For Improper Marketing Of The Highly Addictive Drug
September 18, 2007 -- HARRISBURG - A $5,078,436 settlement has been reached with The Purdue Frederick Company, Inc. and Purdue Pharma, L.P., manufacturers of OxyContin, for improperly marketing the highly addictive pain medication to health care providers.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett said the money is part of a $160 million multi-state civil lawsuit settlement to compensate state and federal Medicaid programs for damages caused by the misbranding of OxyContin from 1995 through 2005. » read more »
Nevada Enters Into Settlement With Purdue Pharmaceuticals
September 18, 2007 -- Carson City, NV - Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto announced today that her office has reached a settlement with The Purdue Frederick Company, Inc., a New York corporation, and Purdue Pharma, L.P., a Delaware limited partnership, which are associated entities engaged in the manufacture, marketing, and distribution of OxyContin, an extended-release form of oxycodone.
Under the terms of the settlement, the State of Nevada recovered $1,047,787.19 to recoup damages to the Nevada Medicaid program as well as damages for investigative costs and penalties. » read more »
