September 05, 2007 --“Over the course of the past year, the Attorney General’s Office has conducted a comprehensive investigation into last summer’s fatal tunnel ceiling collapse. That investigation is not yet complete.

September 05, 2007 -- BOSTON –Today, Powers Fasteners, Inc. (Powers), the company that marketed and distributed the epoxy anchor bolt system used in portions of the I-90 Connector Tunnel, was arraigned in connection with the July 10, 2006, ceiling panel collapse that killed Milena Del Valle, age 38, of Jamaica Plain. Massachusetts Attorney General Responds To Powers Fasteners’ Allegation Of Conflict Of Interest

August 9, 2007 -- BOSTON – Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley issued the following statement today in response to a statement issued by Powers' Fasteners:

"Powers Fasteners' allegation of a conflict of interest is totally without merit. The defendant should file whatever motions it chooses after it is arraigned on the involuntary manslaughter charge on September 5, and those motions will be addressed in the only appropriate venue—in court.    » read more »

August 8, 2007 -- BOSTON – As the result of an ongoing criminal probe, Powers Fasteners, Inc. (Powers), the Brewster, NY-based company that marketed and distributed the epoxy anchor bolt system used in portions of the I-90 Connector Tunnel, has been indicted in connection with the July 10, 2006, ceiling panel collapse that killed Milena Del Valle, age 38, of Jamaica Plain. A Suffolk Grand Jury returned an indictment today charging Powers with one count of involuntary manslaughter.    » read more »
