08/01/2007 -- Three big games with the Atlanta Braves and a big Philadelphia Phillies Alumni Weekend are scheduled for Citizens Bank Park on Friday, Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug. 12.
Friday, Aug. 10:
One of the most respected men ever to wear Phillies pinstripes will be given the highest honor by the organization during the annual Toyota Wall of Fame induction ceremonies.
The late John Vukovich will be inducted posthumously into the Phillies Wall of Fame. Dallas Green, the 2006 inductee, will present the 2007 award to Vuk's family--wife Bonnie, daughter Nikki Stolarick and son Vince. » read more »
Philadelphia Phillies' Rod Barajas Goes on Disabled List
Clay Condrey added to Philadelphia Phillies roster
08/03/2007 -- Philadelphia Phillies Catcher Rod Barajas was placed on the 15-day disabled list today with a right groin strain, the Phillies announced.
To replace Rod Barajas on the roster, the Phillies purchased the contract of right-hander Clay Condrey from Triple-A Ottawa. To make room for Condrey on the 40-man roster, right-hander Francisco Rosario was transferred to the 60-day disabled list. » read more »

16 July 2007 -- Major League Baseball fans in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania have endured thousands of losses by the Phillies. With a 10-2 rout by the visiting St. Louis Cardinals Sunday, the Phillies have the dubious honor of being the first professional sports team to have lost 10,000 games.
Through most of the game, Philadelphia fans in the sellout crowd of 44,872 jeered their team's poor pitching and hitting. By the ninth inning, fans stood and cheered the inevitable milestone. » read more »
