26 October 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Paris Hilton's philanthropic trip to Rwanda has been postponed.
"Due to the restructuring of the Playing For Good Foundation, the philanthropic trip to Rwanda that the foundation had previously planned with Paris Hilton has been postponed," the children's charity said in an October 25 statement.
A staffer for the organization's spokesman Andy Gelb said he was unavailable for comment. The 26-year-old socialite, who has promised to use her celebrity status for good causes, was to have traveled to the central African nation in November. » read more »

Writing in a July 3 entry on her MySpace web page, the 26-year-old celebrity heiress said "Happy 4th of July everyone, and remember to be responsible and have a designated driver!"
Hilton was released from jail last week, after spending 23 days behind bars for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. She has since claimed to be changing her hard-partying ways. » read more »

26 June 2007 -- Hotel heiress and socialite Paris Hilton has been freed from jail after serving 23 days for defying a court order that had suspended her driver's license for drunken driving.
The celebrity left the Los Angeles County jail at about 15 minutes after midnight (0715 UTC) Tuesday, and walked through an enormous gauntlet of photographers and television cameras to a car, where her mother, Cathy Hilton, waited.
