NHL Title Series: Ottawa Senators Beat Anaheim Ducks in Game 3
03 June 2007 -- The Ottawa Senators beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 to win their first game in the National Hockey League championship series.
Ottawa lost the first two games of the best-of-seven series, but rebounded Saturday. Game four is Monday in Ottawa.
The Senators rallied three times from a one-goal deficit before taking the lead at the end of the second period. » read more »
NHL Playoffs: Senators Reach Stanley Cup Finals
20 May 2007 -- NHLIn the National ice Hockey League, the Ottawa Senators have defeated Buffalo, 3-2, in overtime to reach the Stanley Cup finals for the first time in franchise history.
The game was scoreless in the first period, and Buffalo took the lead four-minutes, 30 seconds into the second period on a goal by Jochen Hecht. Ottawa evened the score 11 minutes later on a goal by Dany Heatley. Jason Spezza gave Ottawa a 2-1 lead just before the second intermission. » read more »
NHL Playoffs: Ducks Beat Red Wings in Overtime
14 May 2007 -- The Anaheim Ducks scored in overtime to edge the host Detroit Red Wings, 4-3, in their National Hockey League semifinal playoff game Sunday.
Scott Niedermayer's second goal of the game came with just under six minutes left in overtime.
Detroit had taken a 3-2 lead early in the third period, skating with a two-man advantage, but Anaheim tied the score four minutes later.
The Ducks and Red Wings are now tied at a win each in their best-of-seven NHL Western Conference title series.
Anaheim hosts the next two games, Tuesday and Thursday. » read more »
NHL Playoffs: Ottawa Senators Beat Buffalo Sabres
13 May 2007 -- In the National Hockey League playoff semifinals, the Ottawa Senators scored five minutes into the second overtime Saturday to beat the Buffalo Sabres, 4-3.
The visiting Senators were about to win in regulation time when Buffalo's Daniel Briere tied the game with just six seconds remaining.
Joseph Corvo finally scored the game-winner with a bouncing 13-meter shot. Ottawa also had goals from Daniel Alfredsson, Wade Redden and Mike Fisher.
The Senators rallied after trailing 2-0 just seven minutes into the game. » read more »

06 May 2007 -- In the National Hockey League playoffs, the Ottawa Senators beat the New Jersey Devils 3-2 to move into the Eastern Conference finals for only the second time in team history.
The visiting Senators erased an early one-goal deficit with tallies from Antoine Vermette, Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson in the second period Saturday.
Ottawa won the best-of-seven series four games to one. The Sens next face the winner of the other semifinal series between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers for the Eastern Conference title. » read more »
