21 May 2007 -- The New York Yankees avoided a three-game sweep by the cross-town rival Mets with a 6-2 victory in interleague baseball action Sunday.

Yankee pitcher Tyler Clippard made a successful major league debut, giving up just three hits in six innings of work. He was the seventh rookie pitcher to start for the injury-plagued Yankees this year.

Military personnel can receive free ticket to Sunday's Arizona Diamondbacks game against New York Mets
