Charged With Possession of Kilogram of Cocaine

August 21, 2007 -- TRENTON - New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram and Criminal Justice Director Gregory A. Paw announced that a Bergen County man was indicted today by a state grand jury for allegedly possessing a kilogram of cocaine which he intended to distribute.

According to Director Paw, Juan Carlos Barroso, 34, of Cliffside Park, was charged in a two-count indictment with first-degree possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and third-degree possession of cocaine.    » read more »

August 20, 2007 -- (Boise) – Boise, Idaho resident Geoff A. Maestas, 32, was sentenced to prison today for trafficking marijuana, Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said. Fourth District Judge Thomas Neville ordered Maestas to serve at least three and up to ten years in prison and pay a $3,000 fine. Judge Neville also ordered Maestas to pay $1,200 in restitution to the State of Idaho’s Crime Lab.    » read more »

August 13, 2007 -- WILLIAMSPORT - A total of 13 out of 18 suspected cocaine and heroin dealers have been arrested after agents from the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation (BNI) conducted a street-level sweep today in Lycoming County. The remaining suspects are being sought by state and local officers.

Co-Defendant Receives 10-Year Sentence

August 10, 2007 -- TRENTON – New Jersey Attorney General Anne Milgram and Criminal Justice Director Gregory A. Paw announced that the leader of a major drug trafficking network operating in Atlantic and Gloucester counties was sentenced to state prison today, along with a co-defendant. Members of the network were responsible for the distribution of at least 10 kilograms of cocaine per week for approximately one year preceding their arrests in March 2004.    » read more »

August 6, 2007 -- ALTOONA - A $2 million methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking ring was broken-up today by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation (BNI) and the Blair County Drug Task Force, who have arrested six of seven suspected drug dealers.
