August 28, 2007 -- (SANTA FE) -- New Mexico Attorney General Gary King joined Attorneys General from 12 other states, filing comments with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) calling for the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. to reject the proposed consent decree approving Monsanto Company’s acquisition of Delta & Pine Land Company (DPL). Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo Joins Effort To Protect Kentucky Farmers
August 27, 2007 -- Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo filed comments today asking the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. to reject a proposed consent decree that would approve Monsanto Company’s acquisition of Delta & Pine Land Company.

May 31, 2007 -- WASHINGTON — The Department of Justice announced today that it will require Monsanto Company and Delta & Pine Land Company (DPL) to divest a significant seed company, multiple cottonseed lines, and other valuable assets in order to proceed with their $1.5 billion merger.
