LOS ANGELES, 03/27/2008 -- Los Angeles Dodger Owner and Chairman Frank McCourt unveiled the new Field Level concourse and clubs today. The multi-million dollar Field Level restoration project was completed this off-season and includes double the number of concession stands and restrooms, new concession partners, two new clubs for Baseline Box seat holders, expanded walkways, new signage, and energy efficient equipment. The improved Field Level will be in full operation starting tomorrow, Friday, March 28 when the Dodgers play against the Boston Red Sox in an exhibition game. » read more »

03/26/2008, MESA, Ariz. -- The Chicago Cubs today announced that the club has granted infielder Alex Cintron his release.
Alex Cintron, 29, was signed by the Chicago Cubs as a minor league free agent February 18 of this season.
Chicago Cubs' active roster of 30 players consists of:
- 16 pitchers (including non-roster invitee Chad Fox),
- two catchers,
- seven infielders, and
- five outfielders.

St. Louis Cardinals Reassign Three Pitchers to Minors
Invitee Juan Gonzalez placed on inactive list
JUPITER, Fla., 03/26/2008 -- The St. Louis Cardinals today announced that they have re-assigned three pitchers to their Minor League camp and have placed non-roster outfielder Juan Gonzalez on the temporarily inactive list.
The pitchers sent out today included relievers Hugo Castellanos, Chris Perez and Cliff Politte.
Following today's transactions, the St. Louis Cardinals have 27 players remaining in camp:
- 13 pitchers,
- two catchers,
- seven infielders, and
- five outfielders.

New York Yankees to Play Final Home Opener in Current Yankee Stadium
03/27/2008 -- The New York Yankees will open the 2008 Championship Season-the 106th in franchise history and the 84th and final season at the current Yankee Stadium-on Monday, March 31 vs. the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:05 p.m.
Originally constructed prior to the 1923 season, Yankee Stadium was remodeled in 1974 and 1975. The club will move into a new state-of-the-art Yankee Stadium across the street from the current Stadium in 2009.
Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson will throw out the game's ceremonial first pitch in a season that marks the 30th anniversary of the Yankees' 1978 World Championship campaign.
