Senator Feinstein Announces Plans to Introduce Legislation to Ensure Retailers Are Compliant with Combat Meth Act Requirements

September 14, 2007 -- Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today announced that she plans to introduce legislation early next week to address a problem that has arisen with the implementation of the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act.

The new legislation would require that distributors of pseudoephedrine products only sell to retailers who have filed self-certifications with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). These certifications attest to the fact that their employees are trained and in compliance with the Combat Meth Act.    » read more »

Kentucky Attorney General Announces Former Marshall County Jailer Sentenced For Manufacturing Methamphetamine

September 04, 2007 -- Kentucky Attorney General Greg Stumbo announced today that former Marshall County jailer Danny Sholar and two other defendants were sentenced for methamphetamine related offenses.

August 6, 2007 -- ALTOONA - A $2 million methamphetamine and cocaine trafficking ring was broken-up today by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Narcotics Investigation (BNI) and the Blair County Drug Task Force, who have arrested six of seven suspected drug dealers.

Illinois Attorney General Madigan Announces Sentencing Of Coles County Man On Meth Charge

June 5, 2007 -- Chicago ─ Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan today said that a Coles County man was recently sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) after his guilty plea to Class X methamphetamine conspiracy.

Actor Tom Sizemore Arrested for Drug Possession

09 May 2007 -- Police arrested Tom Sizemore on May 8 for possession of methamphetamine.

The 45-year-old actor, on probation for a previous drug arrest, was taken into custody as he sat in a car outside the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Bakersfield, CA. Officers had responded to an early morning report that a man had challenged an employee to a fight while attempting to check in.

The man, Jason Salcido of Whittier, CA, is believed to be an associate of Sizemore's. He was found to be on parole and carrying what police described as a pipe for smoking narcotics.    » read more »
