MLB: Dodgers Edge Cubs in 11 innings

28 May 2007 -- In Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers edged the Chicago Cubs, 2-1, when Juan Pierre got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the 11th inning to force in the game-ending run.

The Dodgers' Andre Ethier had tied the game with a home run in the eighth inning.

In another National League contest Sunday, Barry Bonds hit his 746th career home run to pull within nine of Hank Aaron's record. However, Bonds' San Francisco Giants dropped the game to the Colorado Rockies, 6-4.    » read more »
