Senators Reid, Ensign Announce More Than $4 Million For Airport Improvements
Reno, North Las Vegas airports to receive money for ongoing projects
June 1, 2009 --Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign announced today grant funding from the Department of Transportation (DOT) of more than $4 million for safety and upgrade work at two major Nevada airports.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport will receive more than $2.8 million to continue its rehabilitation work, while North Las Vegas Airport will get more than $1.7 million for ongoing safety work to relocate overhead power lines to underground locations. About 3,000 feet of line will be moved as part of the project. » read more »
ABC's "The View" Returns to Las Vegas to Broadcast Outside Caesars Palace, June 23-27
Monday, May 19, 2008 -- ABC Daytime's "The View" returns to Las Vegas, NV to broadcast from legendary casino resort Caesars Palace, JUNE 23-27. The broadcast, sponsored by Walgreens, was announced today by Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television Group. This is the first time "The View" will broadcast in HDTV while on location. "The View" had previously broadcast from Caesars Palace in February 2006 and February 2004.

Los Angeles (Nov. 12, 2007) – Michelin today released the first-ever editions of the MICHELIN Guide for Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
The MICHELIN Guide Los Angeles 2008 features 290 establishments in all, a number that includes 263 restaurants – representing 29 types of cuisine – and 27 hotels.
Three restaurants in Los Angeles were awarded two Michelin stars, including Mélisse, Spago and sushi specialist Urusawa. Fifteen restaurants in Los Angeles were awarded one Michelin star.
