Washington, 22 July 2008 -- One month before a child custody trial was to begin, Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has been granted sole custody of their two sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James.

Kevin Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News, "The case has been settled. The court still has to approve it." "Nobody could have anticipated the terms of events that have occurred...." he added. "This was a two-year journey that will be halted at a point that is good for these children. Custody is always modifiable. If there is a final order, it means there is nothing to try."

Britney Spears will have visitation rights.

July 22, 2008 -- Together with Wasserman Media Group, pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler will host the debut of the Ryan Sheckler X Games Celebrity Skins Classic to be held Tuesday, July 29, at the Trump National Golf Course in Palos Verdes, Calif., as part of the mission of Sheckler’s non-profit organization – The Sheckler Foundation. In addition to Sheckler’s foundation, four other charities will be benefiting from the proceeds of the tournament. ESPN has been involved with and supported all four charities over the years. 23 October 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Britney Spears has regained temporary visitation rights with her two young sons, her attorney said on October 21.

In an e-mail to the Associated Press, Britney Spears' lawyer Anne Kiley said "Yes, she has visitation with the children." She did not elaborate.    » read more »

04 October 2007 -- A court commissioner ruled on October 3 that Britney Spears may visit her two young sons, but her ex-husband Kevin Federline will retain primary custody of the children.

Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon was expected to issue an order detaling the visitation rights, said Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan. Kevin Federline attended the hearing but Britney Spears did not. Her attorney, Sorrell Trope, did not speak to reporters.

Court spokesman Allan Parachini said Britney Spears would be allowed monitored visits every other day.    » read more »

19 September 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Britney Spears must undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week, according to court documents in her custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The September 17 ruling requires both parents to refrain from drinking and drug use in the presence of their two young sons and 12 hours before either cares for them. Only Britney Spears was ordered to submit to testing.    » read more »
