April 14, 2008 -- Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano and state and local health officials are stressing the importance of immunizations in light of a measles outbreak in Pima County.

Forgotten diseases like measles and polio are still out there, and that’s why it’s important to make sure vaccinations are up to date," the Governor said. August 30, 2007 -- Getting people up to date on their immunizations isn’t the first priority during a flood emergency, according to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH).
Agency officials say that getting a tetanus shot may be appropriate in individual cases, but they are not currently recommending any special mass immunization efforts directed toward people who are involved in the flood response. » read more »
