Italy: IMF Report on Budget Reform in Italy
June 15, 2007 -- At the request of the Minister of Economy and Finance of Italy, a team from the Fiscal Affairs Department of the IMF visited Rome during March 21-April 3, 2007, to advise on reforms of the budget system aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of public spending. The team met with a number of institutions involved in the budget process, and its report Italy: Budget System Reforms was published by the Italian authorities on June 15, 2007 on their website. » read more »

Approves US$16 Million Disbursement
June 13, 2007 -- The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has completed the fourth review of Nepal's economic performance under the three-year Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF) Arrangement, which enables Nepal to draw an amount equivalent to SDR 10.69 million (about US$16 million) under the arrangement. Benin: IMF Executive Board Completes Second Review Under the PRGF Arrangement with Benin
Approves US$1.3 Million Disbursement
June 11, 2007 -- The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today completed the second review of Benin's economic performance under an SDR 6.19 million (about US$9.3 million) Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF)1 arrangement (see Press Release No.05/190), and approved the disbursement of an amount equivalent to SDR 0.88 million (about US$1.3 million).
The Board also approved Benin's request for a waiver pertaining to the non-observance of the structural performance criterion on port reform. » read more »

June 8, 2007 -- The executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today completed the fourth review of Niger's economic performance under a three-year Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF) arrangement originally approved on January 31, 2005 (See Press Release No 05/20).
