09/10/2007, HOUSTON -- The Houston Astros return to Minute Maid Park Tuesday, September 11 for a nine-game homestand against the Chicago Cubs (Sept. 11-13), the Pittsburgh Pirates (Sept. 14-16) and the Milwaukee Brewers (Sept. 17-19). Houston Astros Minor League Player Carlos Lazu Suspended
09/07/2007 -- The Office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball announced today that Houston Astros Minor League player Carlos Lazu has been suspended for 50 games for testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension will be effective at the start of the 2008 season.
This season, Carlos Lazu played for Greeneville of the Rookie Appalachian League.

Right-handed pitcher from Italy to join organization in Spring Training
09/05/2007, HOUSTON -- The Houston Astros announced today that the club has signed right-handed pitcher Andrea Lucati from Ponzano Veneto, Italy. The announcement was made by Senior Director of Player Personnel and Scouting Paul Ricciarini.
Houston is one of six MLB teams to sign a participant of the 2007 European Academy. The signing is the first in Houston Astros history from the European market. » read more »

Hours after being called up from the minor leagues Saturday, the 23-year-old Clay Buchholz baffled the Baltimore Oriole batters.
