Dow and Gazprom Sign Carbon Reduction MOU

Potential to Reduce Millions of Tons of CO2 Emissions

Houston, TX - June 18, 2009 -- The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: Dow) and Gazprom Marketing and Trading Limited announced today they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to develop and implement greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction projects on a global basis. Through this agreement, both companies will work together to identify projects that could cumulatively reduce millions of tons of carbon dioxide (CO²) emissions through the implementation of Dow technologies and other cooperative efforts.    » read more »

Russia's Gazprom Plans Pipeline to Italy

25 June 2007 -- Russia's state-controlled gas monopoly and the Italian energy company, ENI, recently announced plans for a new pipeline under the Black Sea to Bulgaria and on to Italy.
