Connecticut Governor Rell Demands Answers on Gas Price Spikes
May 1, 2007 -- With Connecticut consumers reporting steep increases in gas prices in the last few days and with some stations charging as high as $3.39 for a gallon of regular unleaded, Governor M. Retail regular grade motor gasoline prices are projected to average $2.81 per gallon this summer, 3 cents below the average of $2.84 per gallon last summer, according to forecasts released recently by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) in the April Short-Term Energy Outlook.
