Connecticut Governor Rell Demands Answers on Gas Price Spikes
May 1, 2007 -- With Connecticut consumers reporting steep increases in gas prices in the last few days and with some stations charging as high as $3.39 for a gallon of regular unleaded, Governor M. Jodi Rell today asked state’s Congressional Delegation to join her in calling for a quick and thorough federal investigation of the recent national price spike.

Alaska Governor Palin Calls for Comprehensive Assessment of Alaska’s Oil and Gas Infrastructure
May 1, 2007, Juneau, Alaska – Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today announced that she is launching a comprehensive assessment of the condition of Alaska’s oil and gas infrastructure. Referred to as a “risk assessment,” the effort is fundamentally an engineering analysis involving a thorough, independent appraisal of the condition of the state’s oil and gas facilities.
