May 19, 2008 -- Tennis’ second Grand Slam of the year – Roland Garros, the 2008 French Open presented by Aviva – will begin on ESPN2 – the Grand Slam Network – on Sunday, May 25, and the network will present more than 51 hours from Paris, culminating with the women’s semifinals live Thursday, June 5. Tennis: Justine Henin of Belgium Takes on Jelena Jankovic Thursday in French Open Tournament

06 June 2007 -- Two-time defending champion Justine Henin of Belgium takes on Jelena Jankovic of Serbia while Maria Sharapova of Russia faces another Serb - Ana Ivanovic - in the French Open women's semifinals in Paris Thursday.

Henin has beaten Jankovic every time they have played, including three times this year. In their last meeting, Henin defeated the Serbian player in three sets on clay last month in Berlin (3-6, 6-4, 6-4). Tennis: Justine Henin of Belgium Reaches Semifinals in French Open Tennis Tournament

05 June 2007 -- World number one women's tennis player Justine Henin of Belgium remains in contention for a fourth French Open title. Henin eliminated American Serena Williams, 6-4, 6-3, Tuesday in Paris to reach the semifinal round.

Tennis: Federer Ties Grand Slam Record for Most Consecutive Sets Won

03 June 2007 -- World number one men's tennis player Roger Federer of Switzerland has tied the Grand Slam record for most consecutive sets won in the modern Open era.

Federer pushed his streak to 35 Sunday at the French Open in Paris by beating Russian Mikhail Youzhny, 7-6, 6-4, 6-4. Federer also matched another Open-era Grand Slam mark with 11 straight-set victories in a row as he reached the quarterfinal round. Both marks had stood since for 23 years, set by American John McEnroe during Wimbledon and the U.S. Open in 1984.    » read more »

Tennis: Maria Sharapova Reaches 4th Round of French Open Tennis Tourney

02 June 2007 -- Two-time major tournament winner Maria Sharapova of Russia has reached the fourth round of the French Open in Paris, but fifth-seeded Amelie Mauresmo of France has been knocked out of the clay-court tournament.

Sharapova, the second seed, defeated Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia, 6-1, 6-4. Sharapova next plays Switzerland's Patty Schnyder, a three-set winner over Italian Karin Knapp (6-1, 4-6, 7-5).    » read more »

01 June 2007 -- The world's number one players - Roger Federer of Switzerland and Justine Henin of Belgium - have advanced to the fourth round of the French Open tennis tournament in Paris.

31 May 2007 -- Two-time defending champion Rafael Nadal of Spain and former winner Serena Williams of the United States have advanced to the third round of the French Open tennis tournament in Paris.

30 May 2007 -- The world's top-ranked tennis players - Roger Federer of Switzerland and Justine Henin of Belgium - have reached the third round of the French Open.

Federer ousted Frenchman Thierry Ascione, 6-1, 6-2, 7-6. v, but he has never won the French Open title.

Henin, the two-time defending champion, ousted Austrian Tamira Paszek in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1. Henin is looking for her fourth title on the red clay courts in Paris and next plays Mara Santangelo of Italy.
