WWE Statement on WrestleMania XXIV Fireworks in Orlando
STAMFORD, Conn., March 30, 2008- World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE®) issued the following statement today concerning the fireworks display that occurred at the end of WrestleMania® XXIV in Orlando:
"We're investigating the incident and doing everything we can to find out why it happened and to make sure it never happens again. While we apologize to anyone who was injured and/or alarmed by this occurrence, we take solace in the fact that the reported injuries were minor."

Tennessee Governor Bredesen Urges July 4th Fire Safety
06/29/2007 -- In anticipation of Independence Day celebrations next week, Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen is urging the public to refrain from outdoor burning and home fireworks displays in areas of the state where extremely dry conditions exist.
“We want people to enjoy and celebrate the Fourth of July holiday, but we want them to be safe, not sorry,” said Bredesen. “Even with a few scattered showers, conditions in many areas of the state are such that we’re asking citizens to simply use common sense when dealing with fire and fireworks. » read more »

CPSC Warns of Deadly Dangers When Consumers Use Illegal Fireworks
June 27, 2007 -- WASHINGTON, D.C. – Between 2000 and 2006, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has reports of 49 fireworks-related consumer deaths, the CPSC announced today on the Washington Mall, joined by the U.S. Fire Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). New Mexico Attorney General: No Conflict in New Fireworks Regulations
June 18, 2007 -- (SANTA FE, NM)— Changes to New Mexico’s fireworks laws made during the 2007 Legislative Session do not conflict with current provisions, according to New Mexico Attorney General Gary King.
“Those changes allow for the use of multiple tube device fireworks with a maximum total weight of five hundred grams of pyrotechnic composition. Existing law provides a general limit of two hundred grams, but Senate Bill 267 allows for a specific five hundred gram exception,” says the Attorney General. » read more »
