FC Dallas Clinches MLS Playoff Berth

10/07/2007, FRISCO, Texas - On Saturday evening, FC Dallas became the fifth team to qualify for the 2007 MLS Cup Playoffs with its 3-1 road win over the Columbus Crew. 09/04/2007, Washington, D.C. -- Major League Soccer announced today United's Ben Olsen has been named MLS Player of the Week following his two-goal performance against FC Dallas on Saturday. The midfielder scored two first half goals, as United stormed to a 4-0 victory over its Western Conference foe. It is the second time this year Olsen has earned the weekly honor. 09/04/2007, Frisco, TX -- The FC Dallas Reserves and the D.C. United Reserves played to a scoreless draw on Sunday morning on the adidas Field at Pizza Hut Park. The goalkeepers from both teams came up big on both sides of the half, with each denying their opponent a handful of one-on-one scoring opportunities. FCD now stands at 2-4-3 (9 pts) while DC's Reserves move to 3-1-3 (12 pts). United created the better scoring opportunities throughout the first half, but FCD keeper Ray Burse came up with big saves and good positioning to keep the score even.    » read more »
