Pennsylvania Governor Rendell To Seek Ruling From Court On Ethics Commission Opinions

Legal Errors, Misinterpretations Impeding Taxpayer’s Business

May 31, 2007 -- HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell said he and Environmental Protection Secretary Kathleen A. McGinty and Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Michael DiBerardinis will file a petition today for review in Commonwealth Court of the May 1 opinions of the State Ethics Commission. The Governor, McGinty and DiBerardinis have also asked the commission to stay the effects of the two opinions and, additionally, will ask Commonwealth Court for such a stay.    » read more »

May 12, 2007, Juneau, Alaska – Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today thanks members of the Legislature for passage of House Bill 109, the Governor’s ethics bill. In January, Governor Palin proposed legislation to improve Alaska’s ethics and disclosure laws. Colorado Governor Ritter Signs Ethics Commission, Workers’ Comp And Sex Offender Bills Into Law

April 26, 2007 -- Colorado Governor Bill Ritter today signed into law Senate Bill 210, which establishes an independent ethics commission to address Amendment 41 issues.
