September 17, 2007 -- HBO received 21 Primetime Emmy Awards, the most of any network, in the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards competition. The awards received by the network this year reflect the diversity of HBO's original programming, ranging from series to original movies to documentaries.

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee topped HBO's list of winners with 6 awards, while The Sopranos, When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts and Rome each received 3 awards.

Sept. 13, 2007 -- Disney-ABC Television Group's Digital Media Team took home an Interactive Emmy with ABCFamily.com being named the winner of Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Television for "The Fallen Alternate Reality Game." The announcement was made by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy presentation at the Shrine Auditorium on September 8. Finalists were chosen by members of the Interactive Media Peer Group who voted in an online voting system. E! Channel to Censor Kathy Griffin's Emmy Speech

12 September 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Kathy Griffin had a few words to say about her September 8 creative arts Emmy win - but viewers at home won't get to hear them.

The E! Channel will reportedly censor the comedian's raucous acceptance speech when it airs the event on September 15. The Fox Channel airs the main prime-time Emmy Awards ceremony the following night.

"Kathy Griffin's offensive remarks will not be part of the E! telecast on Saturday night," the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences said in a September 10 statement.    » read more »

ABC Creates a Special Lineup Devoted to Emmy-Nominated Series the Week of August 20

Special Sneak Peeks of Returning Series Will be Featured Throughout the Episodes

Wednesday, August 15, 2007 -- In acknowledgment of its record number of nominations, ABC will air special episodes of its Emmy-nominated series "According to Jim," "Boston Legal," "Brothers & Sisters," "Desperate Housewives," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Ugly Betty" the week of August 20. In addition, there will be special sneak peeks of returning fall series during the episodes.
