The 2006 Oscar®-nominated documentary short subject “Two Hands" spotlights pianist Leon Fleisher, who at the height of his career lost the ability to play with his right hand. The documentary tells the story of his 35-year quest to find a cure for his mysterious ailment, and how he went on to reinvent himself as a teacher, conductor and performer of music written for the left hand.    » read more »

Discovery’s Ted Koppel Gets Lifetime Achievement Award

SILVER SPRING, Md., Sept. 25 –- Discovery Channel won three Emmy Awards at last night’s 28th Annual News and Documentary Emmy awards ceremony presented by the National Television Academy at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in New York City.
