NHL Playoffs: Ducks Beat Red Wings
21 May 2007 -- The Anaheim Ducks are one win away from advancing to the National Hockey League Stanley Cup finals for the second time in team history after taking a three-games-to-two lead over Detroit in their Western Conference playoff series.
Anaheim All-Star Teemu Selanne scored nearly 12 minutes into overtime to lift the Ducks 2-1 over the host Red Wings in Sunday's game five of the best-of-seven conference championship series.
Scott Niedermayer forced overtime with a game-tying power play goal for the Ducks with just 48 seconds left in regulation time. » read more »
NHL Playoffs: Ducks Beat Red Wings in Overtime
14 May 2007 -- The Anaheim Ducks scored in overtime to edge the host Detroit Red Wings, 4-3, in their National Hockey League semifinal playoff game Sunday.
Scott Niedermayer's second goal of the game came with just under six minutes left in overtime.
Detroit had taken a 3-2 lead early in the third period, skating with a two-man advantage, but Anaheim tied the score four minutes later.
The Ducks and Red Wings are now tied at a win each in their best-of-seven NHL Western Conference title series.
Anaheim hosts the next two games, Tuesday and Thursday. » read more »
April 30 Detroit Tigers - Baltimore Orioles Telecast Shifted to FSN Plus
04/24/2007 2:05 PM ET -- FSN Detroit has announced that the Detroit Tigers- Baltimore Orioles game on Monday, April 30 will now be televised on FSN PLUS. The game, originally scheduled for FSN Detroit, was shifted to FSN PLUS to avoid a possible conflict with the start of that night's Red Wings-San Jose Sharks playoff telecast.
FSN Detroit is offering select Tigers games this spring on FSN PLUS when the network has dual events scheduled for an overlapping time period. Most cable and satellite providers have allocated an alternate channel to accommodate the FSN PLUS telecast. » read more »
