NCAA Responds to FOXSports.com Erroneous Report on NBA Age Limit Change
Monday, April 7, 2008 -- NCAA Response: "Jeff Goodman’s April 7, 2008 post on FoxSports.com erroneously reported that NCAA President Myles Brand and NBA Commissioner David Stern would make a joint announcement regarding NBA age limits. The NCAA has no role whatsoever regarding the NBA age policy or its collective bargaining process. The joint announcement was on the establishment of a new youth basketball initiative. NBA Commissioner David Stern Statement Regarding Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy's Guilty Plea
NEW YORK, August 15 – NBA Commissioner David Stern has issued the following statement:
“As expected, former NBA referee Tim Donaghy pleaded guilty today to betting on NBA games, including games in which he officiated, and providing confidential information to others who bet on NBA games. We will continue with our ongoing and thorough review of the league’s officiating program to ensure that the best possible policies and procedures are in place to protect the integrity of our game.”
