Oscar-Winning Writer-Director Brad Bird to Receive WGAW's AWC Animation Writing Award

April 15, 2008 -- LOS ANGELES -- The Writers Guild of America, West's Animation Writers Caucus (AWC) has awarded its tenth-annual Animation Writing Award for lifetime achievement to acclaimed Pixar writer-director Brad Bird, whose most recent film, Disney/Pixar's Ratatouille, won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film.

Connecticut Governor Rell Announces Grants for Connecticut Cultural Attractions

April 7, 2008 -- Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that the state has awarded more than $1.1 million in matching grants to 44 organizations across the state to help fund projects that enrich cultural attractions and draw visitors to Connecticut.
