May 7, 2007, Skagway, Alaska – While in Skagway, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin had the following to say regarding the guilty pleas from VECO executives in federal court this morning:
“To have this truth now, to know that some Alaskans willingly and knowingly participated and encouraged this corrupt behavior is disgusting,” said Governor Sarah Palin. “It is truly unacceptable and I will work tirelessly to make sure this does not happen on our watch.”

April 25th, 2007 -- Washington, D.C. - Today, Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and Ranking Member Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) sent a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales seeking more information relating to his knowledge and involvement in the project to dismiss and replace several federal prosecutors around the country. New Commerce Department Media Policy Fails to Protect Scientists from Political Interference, Groups Say
WASHINGTON (April 23, 2007)—A recently revised Commerce Department media policy is not strong enough to curb political interference in climate science at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), according to the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and the Government Accountability Project (GAP).
