Columbus (6-7-10, 28 pts.) is coming off a 1-1 draw vs. Colorado Rapids on Sunday, which kept those two teams tied for the eighth playoff position. Chicago Fire (7-10-5, 26 pts.), coming off a 1-0 loss at New York Red Bulls last Saturday, is just two points behind, making this Saturday's clash a crucial one.    » read more »

Columbus Crew, Colorado Rapids Play to 1-1 Draw

09/04/2007, COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Crew and Colorado Rapids came into Sunday's match at Crew Stadium tied for eighth place overall in the MLS standings, and each looking to gain an advantage over the other heading into the final stretch of the season.

It looked as if Eddie Gaven's goal just before halftime would hold up to give the Crew the upper hand in the battle between the teams, but Conor Casey headed home five minutes before the final whistle and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.    » read more »
