Whitney Myers Named NCAA Woman of the Year

Saturday, October 27, 2007, INDIANAPOLIS --- Whitney Myers, a former swimming student-athlete at the University of Arizona, is the 2007 NCAA Woman of the Year.

Myers received the award—one of the most prestigious that the NCAA bestows—at the 17th annual NCAA Woman of the Year Awards Dinner tonight, October 27, at the Murat Centre Egyptian Room. Thursday, October 25, 2007, INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions has penalized University of Arkansas, Fayetteville for major violations in its men’s track and field program. Trend Data Shows College Graduation Success Rate Improvement

Wednesday, October 3, 2007, INDIANAPOLIS — Division I student-athletes continue to perform well in the classroom, and more of them are graduating from college, according to the latest NCAA Graduation Success Rate figures.

From 1995-2000, Graduation Success Rates increased in many sports, including high-profile men’s sports such as basketball, football and baseball, and high-profile women’s sports such as basketball, ice hockey and soccer.
