Thursday, October 11, 2007, INDIANAPOLIS -- Stakeholder groups involved with National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball are making a unified commitment to substantial improvement in the enforcement of appropriate bench decorum for coaches and student-athletes throughout the 2007-08 season. October 15, 2007 -- For the first time since 1995, ESPN’s college basketball coverage will include regular-season Pac-10 Conference home games. As part of a new multi-year agreement with Fox Sports Net, ESPN’s 2007 schedule will feature two regular-season Pac-10 home games. Ron English Named Director of the Division I Men's Basketball Championship

Thursday, September 20, 2007, INDIANAPOLIS -- Ron English, a 22-year veteran of athletics administration, has accepted the position as the Director of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. He will officially begin his duties on October 15.

English, who has served the Ohio Valley Conference for the past 15 years, most recently as senior associate commissioner for operations and chief operating officer, will direct game operations for all rounds of the championship and will serve as the primary liaison for tournament managers at each site.    » read more »
