Chicago White Sox Do Not Renew Contract of Third Base Coach Razor Shines

10/05/2007, CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox announced that the contract of third base coach Razor Shines will not be renewed for the 2008 season, and bullpen coach Art Kusnyer has been reassigned within the organization. White Sox Manager Ozzie Guillen will conduct the search for both replacements.
Shines, 50, originally was hired by the White Sox on June 21, 2000. He managed for six seasons in their Minor League system before being hired as the Sox third base coach on Oct. 31, 2006. » read more »
Chicago White Sox Outright Luis Terrero and Paulino Reynoso to Class AAA Charlotte
10/03/2007, CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox have outrighted outfielder Luis Terrero and left-handed pitcher Paulino Reynoso to Class AAA Charlotte. In lieu of accepting the assignment, Terrero has declared free agency.
Terrero, 27, batted .231 (27-117) with five home runs and 12 RBI in 61 games with the White Sox in 2007. He was signed by the Sox as a free agent on Nov. 3, 2006.
Reynoso, 27, went 3-0 with a 4.09 ERA (10 ER/22.0 IP) and 18 strikeouts in 21 relief appearances with Class AAA Charlotte this season.

Chicago White Sox, A.J. Pierzynski Agree on Two-Year Contract Extension
09/29/2007, CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on a two-year, $12.5 million contract extension with catcher A.J. Pierzynski. Pierzynski still will receive a salary of $5.85 million in 2008 as called for in the final year of the three-year contract he signed with the White Sox on December 19, 2005. 09/26/2007, CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox have announced the club's 2008 regular-season home schedule, with the White Sox opening their 18th season at U.S. Cellular Field against the Minnesota Twins (April 7, 9 and 10).
The White Sox are scheduled to face Colorado (June 13-15) and Pittsburgh (June 17-19) at U.S. Cellular Field in interleague play. It marks the first time the Rockies and Sox play in Chicago. The Sox host the New York Yankees (April 22-24) and the Boston Red Sox (Aug. 8-11). » read more »

Jim Thome, 37, hit a game-ending, two-run homer on a 3-2 pitch from Dustin Moseley in the ninth inning to become the 23rd player in major-league history to reach the milestone and just the 10th left-handed batter. 09/04/2007, CHICAGO -- Prior to tonight's game at Detroit Tigers, the Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of right-handed pitcher Lance Broadway from Class AAA Charlotte and recalled left-handed pitcher Heath Phillips from Charlotte.
