O.J. Simpson to Face Felony Robbery Charges, Held Without Bail

17 September 2007 -- Police in the U.S. resort city of Las Vegas, have arrested former football star O. J. Simpson and are preparing to charge him in connection with an alleged armed robbery.

Police said Sunday that Simpson faces charges including robbery with a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon. A judge has ordered Simpson held without bail.    » read more »

Jennifer Lopez Wins Arbitration Award in Lawsuit Against Ex-Husband Ojani Noa

06 September 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- A judge has sided with Jennifer Lopez in the star's lawsuit against her first husband, Ojani Noa.

In a September 5 decision, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael C. Solner approved a $545,000 arbitration award for Jennifer Lopez.

The 38-year-old singer-actress was suing Noa, who intended to write a tell-all book about their relationship. Solner also issued a permanent injunction barring Ojani Noa from publishing negative, denigrating, or disparaging details about Jennifer Lopez.    » read more »

Bobby Brown Sues Whitney Houston

30 August 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- Bobby Brown has filed a lawsuit claiming his ex-wife Whitney Houston is keeping him from seeing their teenage daughter.

In a suit filed last week in Orange County, California Superior Court, the R & B singer said "I have not seen or spoken to my daughter since early June and I have no prospect of speaking to her anytime soon due to Whitney's actions."

Bobby Brown has been trying to overturn a judicial decision to nullify the couple's marriage and grant Whitney Houston sole custody of 14-year-old Bobbi Kristina.    » read more »

Madonna's Home To Be Visited by Malawi Welfare Official

30 August 2007, Washington (By Ray McDonald) -- The Malawi welfare official tasked with assessing Madonna's fitness to adopt a young African boy will next week visit her London home.

Director Penston Kilembe canceled a visit in May, the first of two court-ordered trips to check on the singer's suitability to adopt David Banda.
