01/22/2008, BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox today announced that single game tickets for most 2008 home games will go on sale this Saturday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. via phone and internet.

To ensure that as many fans as possible have the opportunity to experience Red Sox baseball at America's Most Beloved Ballpark in as fair a distribution as possible, the club will allow fans to purchase a maximum of eight tickets per person.    » read more »

Boston Red Sox Do Not Tender 2008 Contract to Pitcher Brendan Donnelly

12/13/2007, BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox tonight announced that the club will not tender a 2008 contract to right-handed pitcher Brendan Donnelly.

As a result, Brendan Donnelly will become a free agent. Boston tendered 2008 contacts to the other 20 unsigned players on its Major League roster.

The announcement was made by Executive Vice President/General Manager Theo Epstein.

Teams had a deadline of midnight on Wednesday to tender 2008 contracts to all unsigned players on their Major League rosters. Any players not tendered contracts were granted free agency.    » read more »
