Boeing 787 Dreamliner Latest Structure Test a Success

ROME, July 02, 2008 -- Alenia Aeronautica, a Finmeccanica company, successfully completed destructive testing on the horizontal stabilizer of the Boeing [NYSE: BA] 787 Dreamliner. The test took place at Alenia's Pomigliano plant in Naples with Boeing engineers and representatives of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in attendance. EVERETT, Wash., April 09, 2008 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] today announced a revised plan for first flight and initial deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner that includes additional schedule margin to reduce risk of further delays on the program.

Washington Governor Gregoire’s Statement on Boeing 787 Dreamliner Delay

January 16, 2008 -- OLYMPIA – Following Boeing’s announcement that the first flight of the new 787 Dreamliner would be delayed until about June 2008, Washington Governor Chris Gregoire had the following statement:

“While we all would rather see completion of the 787 Dreamliner take place sooner rather than later, we shouldn’t be surprised at delays in the development of such an innovative new airliner. I appreciate Boeing’s commitment to quality and safety.”
